“Natalie (the facilitator) did a wonderful job organizing the memory Café! Cliff was great at entertaining! Location was centralized which was also nice. I look forward to the Memory Cafe starting again!”
“As a caregiver I enjoyed being with other caregivers who are going through the same issues and heartaches. It was very much a relaxing atmosphere, with laughter and memories, and free from any judgement. I felt very supported and am looking forward to the next one.”
“It is wonderful being able to spend time with mom and seeing her interact with a small group of people. The structure of the Memory Café is also great (activity, discussion, snack and music). Mom especially likes the music part! Can’t wait for it to start again!”
“My mother enjoyed the Memory Café’s immensely. She felt very comfortable to participate. She especially enjoyed the musician who played songs his father used to listen to. As a caregiver I felt the facilitators showed so much respect to the participants and loved their approach. We look forward to attending again!”
“It feels great knowing you are not alone in this journey and that there are people willing to help people who are struggling with this disease.”
“The music with Bernie was wonderful and very relaxing. I thought it was wonderful of Mary to come from Wolfville to help us enjoy the hour. Tissy is a great leader. Thanks!”
“We are so pleased to be part of the Memory Café!”
“I enjoyed all the entertainment especially the familiar tunes that we sang along to. Time frame works well - monthly and the hour for most (no fatigue). Thank you to the team for your welcome and engagement with us all fortunate to attend!”
“Very enjoyable - we will be back”
"Good ice breakers, it's really nice to meet people and talk to them. John's music is lovely, we look forward to it!"
